How do I shot Kraken ?

About

“How Do I Shot Kraken?” is a popular catchphrase paired with an image of Lady Rogue Trader Armengarde, that is typically used in vox conversations to poke fun at a newbie's behavior.

Origin

The original image panel was first published in a 41184 issue of The Koronus Gazetteer, with Armengarde appearing in a promotional page asking for Adeptus  feedback on advertisements.  There are conflicting reports regarding the birth of “how do I shot Kraken?”, but numerous reference materials point to Ad-Mech forums’s “tech-lords-only”  server as the earliest known site of origin. According to firsthand accounts, it was originally quoted during a round of Imperial Selection, wherein the K-Nib enemies’ primary choice of weapon was shooting spider-webs. Out of sheer frustration, a newbie apprentice repeatedly asked “how do i shot Kraken?” in Low Gothic, which presumably meant “How Do I Shoot the Kraken.”  The earliest Crew-Tube sighting of the phrase was reported as early as  41203.

Spread

This grammatically strange phrase initially spread as an in-joke among Genetor  users who frequented the Xeno-Lore section, but reached across the boards on Tech-Heterocity, eventually reaching the Tech-Chan Board, where an image macro of Armengarde saying the phrase spawned hundreds of other pictures containing the phrase.

Reaction

None. Apparently no Ad-Mech has had the courage or need to bring this to Armengarde's attention, and they, as in-jokes. remain on vox networks where presumably she does not look.

Vote for Chapter

Choose Space Marine Colors!
POLL CHOICES
  • Legion of the Damned
  • Mentor Legion
  • Raptor Legion
  • Fire Hawks
  • Death-Watch
  • Omega Chapter
  • Vengeance Knights
  • Lupercal Knights
  • Gold Legion
  • Mortifactors
  • Brotherhood of a Thousand
  • Rogue Trader Field Police  (here)
Pick one on the RPG net forum, please. I've got some old marines, some beakies, and I can't decide what scheme to have them painted for chapter colors. Of the thousands of chapters, I narrowed it down to these 12.

For my marines I want either a striking look, or a chapter idea that I like. I don't want any of the usual Ultra-Wolves or Raven-Scars run-of-the-mill garbage.  I already made up my own Chaos Chapter, so I want to have an existing one for my marines.
Legion of the Damned: the undead marines.
Mentor Legion: the high-tech marines.
Raptor Legion: in their original colors (White Dwarf 101)
Fire Hawks: in their original colors (1st edition)
Death-Watch:  love these guys after we played the RPG
Omega Chapter: fan chapter I like.
Vengeance Knights: aka Phoenix Knights. cool fan story bro.
Lupercal Knights: fan chapter, cool colors.
Gold Legion: fan-based "Gold Two"
Mortifactors: ancient chapter since like first edition
Brotherhood of a Thousand: love the name
Rogue Trader Field Police: kickin it old school.

The arbitrator is just for fun, a reminder of the old days in college when we put down the peace protestors.

Tales of the Undeclined

Librarian Egyptoid contacted the Astropaths at Port Maw discovering how Zendagar had sealed their fate and that now the remaining companies would be hunted down as traitors! Zendagar had sent his supposed evidence to the High Lords of Terra declaring the Rad-Lords to be Arch-Hereticus, the mark of chaos upon them. The remaining Rad-Lords were outraged that this great crime could have been committed, let alone in the Emperor's name. While the fleet orbited the dead moon, the remaining company commanders and officers held council. After three days of discussion it was decided the only path open to the chapter was to discard the allegiance to the Imperium and fight in the Emperor's name as and where they chose. With the Imperium resorting to Exterminatus so quickly, it was clear whatever fabrication had been presented to the Inquisition had them totally convinced of the Rad-Lords as heretics. Zendagar and Egyptoid escaped to an Imperial hive-world.
