Dark Eldar were a retro fit from WHFB. There were Elves and Dark Elves in Fantasy. But only Eldar existed for a long time in 40K and BFG. So the bad guys were added to W40K and BFG to have a symmetry in the universes. I mean there must have been requests... So I have to ask: why no Squat Fleets and Squats for 40K.... Slann Fleets and Slann for 40K would be nice. Would it also mean Tau for Fantasy Battles? The Dark Eldar certainly stir up a lot of trouble. Especially by raising questions one ought not ask.
